Question about how you envisioned it.

For those that have read the book, did you envision the Opera House and characters as how they were portrayed in a movie or play, or did you create your own images of them/it? I guess it would depend on when you read the book.

Before the I saw the movie or read the book, I had seen pictures of the Paris Opera House. Most of them were taken outside so the way I envisioned the inside was based off of the various scenes in the movie.

Me too, because I read it after I'd watched the movie.

I didn't envision Erik as Gerard Butler if that's what you mean lol. I did however imagine Chrisitne brunette instead of blonde.

I kind of made the characters mainly all up in my head, you know? I wasn't all too influensed byt he movie/musical.

Ha ha....I tried not to see Erik as Gerry. And, after seeing different versions of the story, it's become a bit easier to reimagine the appearances of the characters.

Yes, because the character was so much different....more of a monster than a romantic musical....sort of guy.

Re: Question about how you envisioned it.

Acorrding to Kay's book from his birth in 1831 to the whole Christine thing in 1881 he would have actually been 50.

Well at least he's no old enough to be your grandpa! lol :eeek:

Since Christine was 20, and he was 30 when she was born, he could have actually been old enough to be a fairly young father to her.
